That's not an IQ test dude but a test of high school education in maths, physics and biology... which is hardly relevant to teaching english I would think.
What prompted you to make that poll by the way?
By the way I'm not too good with that stuff, except for the question about fermentation... that I do know of! |

I've got a tub of Wrigley's Extra chewing gum on my desk that has an IQ of 80. Does anyone have the phone number for the Guinness book of records?

When you're done patting your own back for being smarter than everyone else here, could you scratch mine? I've got an itch I can't quite reach.
On most IQ tests, I score around 140, but on this one, I predict I would score 90. |

Nice cut and paste...the fact that you attempted to make us think you actually wrote the questions is an indication of your I.Q. You must be very very very bored. |

So then if he didn't write the questions, what IQ test would have such terrible spelling and punctuation? |

I've been surprised at the level and character of discussion here at Dave's given we're all supposedly university educated. It's due to a lot of 'B' students from soft universities I suppose (plenty of exceptions of course, but not enough of them). Back in grade school I busted my butt to get into honours english (where my bud was) and honours math (where all the shop course bullies weren't), earned excellent grades and doubled my effort at the postsecondary level, surrounded by yahoos who were hard pressed to do the homework readings let alone extra research to fill in gaps and answer questions generated by the course material. Grad school was better, but it sure seemed like half of the professors were just as clueless as the herds they taught except for the length of their tenure/pasture on campus.
As someone oughta have said, Intelligence is a quarter what you've learned, a third how you learn it and a fifth instinct, the rest w.h.y. Or something like that.
So, while it can be said that one just KNOWS who is smart by being around such - though it's easy to be fooled at first - those who yap loudly are rarely the wisest (braggarts never are); effort overcomes native deficiencies.
"I am not smart, I just know a lot." makes sense in a way that "I am not intelligent, I just know a lot" doesn't. Or does it? These days the operative phrase is "I'm intelligent but I just don't know much about that." That just sounds stupid to me, but I'm old fashioned about such things. |

I hope it makes sense in a way that your post doesn't. Honestly, I'm not sure what you're trying to say. |

Since I never really studied science, I have no clue to most of those questions. I majored in English, and studied Fine Arts as well. I |

Well as I've been repeating lately, when I want intelligent conversation I go to www.skinheads.net, not here. |
