It is normal for an employer to offer 1 month summer and 2 months winter paid vacation? It sounds too good to be true. A friend told me summer and winter camps may be a part of it. Anyone ever heard of anything like that?

It is too good to be true - many jobs give you 'vacation', but you are expected to work.

10 weeks vacation in the summer and 10 weeks vacation in the winter is possible, but not normal.

Heck I've had six years of long vacations, did a few summer camps and winter camps for extra pay. I loved it.

I work at a private school and get 12 weeks vacation. I have to do a camp summer and winter camp, but they are only for a 5 days each. Jobs like this are available, but a lot harder to find. Most university jobs have longer vacations. Some public schools offer the same deal, but if it's through EPIK, GEPIK, or SMOE you can expect to be working at doing nothing during that time. Don't expect long vacations from hagwons.

Yeah it is a private school by the way. I'm wondering if I will have to do camps too. I don't mind either way.

Yes, you more than likely will have to do the camps. Don't worry, they are short and actually can be a lot of fun because you are not stuck in a classroom all day.
