Just wondering if anyone had experiences with this school. I know people say stay away from Kids Herald, but it's down to each individual school. Can't find anything on here about this particular one, so any information would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks. |

Kid's Herald, or Kid's Club? They're two completely different schools.
I worked at Kid's Herald in Bucheon (Joongdong near Songnae Station)a long time ago, the guy who owned it was a real slave driver, doled out vacation time one day per month, and played very creative games with pay periods in order to get out of paying us overtime.
This was over 4 years ago, so the situation may have improved since then.
Edit: Changed "Sangdong" to "Joongdong"

If it's Kid's Herald, I interviewed there a couple of weeks ago. Seemed an all right place but I didn't particularly like the Vice President (a kyopo). The supervisor was cool, but I decided not to take it primarily because of the VP and I got a better offer from my current school.

Then it sounds like it's definitely the same place I worked for 4-5 years ago.
I had a pretty craptacular experience there, but there is a very good chance that things have improved since I left. My info is nowhere near current, so I'd strongly recommending talking to and emailing at least two current of recent teachers there.
I will say that the area is a very nice place, with good shopping and restaurants, fun local nightlife nearby, and awesome open air market, and it's only a 20 minute express subway ride from downtown Seoul even though it's suburbia. The boss sucked ass, but I still miss the neighborhood. |
