echoing off the mountain?
I work on a military base (my second) and it's a comforting feeling to hear the gunshots echoing off the mountain.
At my first base, I lived on a base. That means that there were always two guys at the gate with rifles and two bullets each, ready to fight to the death anyone who tried to steal my home-made sausage, couch or TV.
This time I work on a base, but live just outside. If I look out my back porch, across the parking lot, there are two guys with guns ready to come to my defense if any peasants get too rowdy.
This morning on my way to work I heard the guys practicing with their rifles on the other side of the hill. The sound of rifle fire echoing off the mountain made me feel all warm and cuddly. I bought a new computer table with a swivel-out wing thingie, lamp and chair that spins around. It's a comforting feeling to know that they are safe from rampaging thiefs.
Life is good lately. |

Sigh, I miss my AK Saiga .308 Semi Auto. Its sleeping underneath my bed in the US. The black finish. The 19" barrel. The 20 round clip full of .308 FMJ's.
I wish 2nd amendment rights went with you everywhere, just like your passport. |

Yep, and light seems great when you've always got darkness, and vice versa. Try that!! What's your point... |

Yes, I too love the sound of gun shot and smell of gun powder.
I feel naked being in Korea without my weapon. It is indeed comforting to have guns..... I miss my automatic rifles and pistols back home. |

I know how you feel. I used to live right next to Kunsan Airbase. It felt good to go away for the weekend knowing that the 8th Fighter Wing was flying CAP over my valuables. I din't even lock the door. |

$230 brand new. The .223 and the 7.62X39mm saiga is only like $200 brand new. The Saiga's are basically "sporterized AK-74's"
The .308 is badass. Short barrel carbine so the muzzle flare on it is insane. It is incredibly loud, and its an AK so it is very easy to maintain.
When I go back to the states, I want to buy an Enfield .308 bolt action, a 1911a Springfield .45, and a .22 peashooter just for kicks.
I would get better stuff, but sweet guns cost a LOT of money and I don't like guns enough to be paying over $800 for one. |

FREAKS You don't feel "comfortable" without a gun, what a pack of wankers. Guns are for shooting animals that you want to eat with, if you really can't feel comfortable without having a gun under your pillow at night then i suggest you put yourself out of your misery, load, cock, aim at temple, and you will never have to worry about that "uncomfortable" feeling again. |
