Hi, I have to stay overnight near Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. Can anyone recommend a good hotel as close a possible to the airport itself?
Thanks. |

| The Avana hotel is about 20 min. away and isn't too expensive. The cab drivers know it, too. ZYou can even book a room online before you go. |

| If you want something cheap you may actually be better off paying a metered taxi to take you to Kho Sahn Road. |

I'm not fussed about cheap. Nice hotels in Thailand are still pretty cheap.
Out of interest, I've never been to this new airport how far is it from Kho Sahn or, more importantly for me, Sukhumvit?
Thanks. |

Do NOT bother with KSR if you want something close to the new airport. I stayed in nearby Ban Phli, at a place called Sananwan Palace. Recommended.
Standard room with fan 250 baht a/c 350 baht
Superior room 350b a/c 500b
Superior Suites 600-700 baht.

It has a pool open until 10pm & 50 baht to use. Food was cheap & tasty, & beer was cold! |
