Hi,
I've spent two weeks looking in pet shops for a kitten. All of the ones I've seen are 500,000 or more. I want to find one for 100,000 or less. Does anyone know where I could find something like this? I live in Itaewon. I was thinking of going to Myeongdong and wandering around on a kitten hunt. I looked into the adoption places, but they seem to be way too complicated.
Any help is appreciated,
J

You want to buy a kitten in Korea? Have you checked the buy, sell, & trade forum yet?

Yep, I'm all over the buy/sell forum. I am asking on this forum to see basically if anyone knows where some guy stands in a shopping area with kittens. Have you seen this lately? Hook a sister up.

No dude, I don't need a kitten finding service. I need a kitten. Why would I pay you? Weirdo!

Unfortunately there's no such thing as "free to a good home" in Korea, as all pet owners consider it sketchy to give away animals for free.

There are all kinds of pet shops in the Chungmuro area. But I liken those places to disease-ridden puppy/kitten mills.

For free pets, there's the Pet Adoption link: http://www.eslcafe.com/forums/korea/viewtopic.php?t=76021

There is a vet at Sunae station (Bundang) that has kittens all the time. Right now there are two of them in the window. There is no adoption fee: they are free to a good home. So, you could spend your 100,000 on supplies for your kitty. You can catch a bus from Hannam to Seohyeon station, and then jump on the subway one stop to Sunae station. Hope this helps.

Thanks for posting the photo. What a great moment. I am sure you'll find a home for each and every one of those little kitties. (I'd take one, but my Indy doesn't do so well with cats).

Don't buy one. Please don't buy one. To turn down all of the offers of cats/kittens that need good homes just because you feel like popping to the shops to get one like a pint of milk, is lazy. LAZY.
