After being told a few times by students that my eyes are charismatic I inquired a little further. Turns out they think all foreigners have charismatic eyes,
I'm still none the wiser.  |

That's an example of thinking vocabulary has a 1:1 relationship between two languages. 매력적이다 (probably what she was thinking of) is usually translated as charming but it's a much broader word including charming, mysterious, unusual in an interesting way, blah, blah. . . |

I've been complemented numerous times on the whiteness of my teeth. I guess they're impressive to Koreans.
I also had the word "nal-shi-na-da" said to me randomly in a subway station by an ajuma. |
