(I apologize in advance -- this is probably something that can be done with the search engine. I just can't figure out how, because every time I do a search, I come up with like 7,000 results, and it's not at all obvious from the titles which ones will have the info I'm looking for. If anyone knows of an already existing thread addressing this, please feel free to refer me.)

I'm thinking of coming to Korea to work this summer. I'm currently teaching in China. I doubt I'll have time to go to the U.S. in-between. I'm trying to figure out the visa requirements/procedures. There are two possible scenarios:

--I get a job offer/sponsor before I go
--I go first and look for jobs there

In each case, what kind of visa would I need before I go, and can I get it being that I'm in China, and what documents will I need to bring with me if I need to get a more long-term visa after I arrive.

Apologies again for not being able to figure out the search engine on this one-- I'm sure this has all been addressed.

Thanks .... mep
