i know i put up a post on the subject of ferries to fukuoka from busan earlier this week and i appreciate the replies but i meant to add that i am not going for a work visa, all i want is a tourist stamp.i just wanted to know if it is the same process as going through the immigration at the airport.do you just go through in japan, turn around and go back again?also, would i need to show that i would be leaving the country before that visa expires?(i.e.)a flight or ferry ticket.has anyone had any problems doing this?

You get on the ferry. You go to Japan. You get off the ferry. You buy INCREDIBLE PORN AND INCREDIBLE BEER AT CONVENCIENCE STORE FOR INCREDIBLY LOW PRICES. You get on ferry. You go to Korea. You get off ferry. You go to your home. You read porn in toilet. Life is good.

The fast ferry is fun.
And no, you probably won't need a ticket out.

Make sure you don't sit on the bottom floor of the ferry. It's really noisy.

Mack the Knife,
One of my favorite parts of going to japan is watching the porn in the hotel. japan have some weird ass porn action going on. More funny than erotic.

I'm planning to do a one-day trip to get a tourist visa. Can I just pay for the ferry ticket in cash at the port of departure in Busan? I sure hope so.

It may be worthwhile buying your ticket in advance. It can be difficult to get one at a moments notice. Smile

the porn in Japan is rubbish- it's either cartoons, sicker than anyone should enjoy, or censored. In fact it's generally all three.

I've heard you can get porn on the internet nowadays though.

I wouldn't risk it but it is more than probable.

However, you won't be able to get on the ferry and go to the embassy and come back on the next ferry. It is impossible.
You'll have to stay the night there.

Terrible lies! Unlike Korea, you can get mags presenting amateur, Nipponese females in ALL their flowering glory. I'd post some pics, but I'm not ready to be banned from Dave's for life. Yet.

Oh, and you can buy them at 7-11 for about $6.00, which is about $1.50 cheaper than the Hustler I just picked up at San Fran. International.

On the other hand, there exists a preponderence of crappity, boring porn in Asia, and Japan is no exception. You just have to have a keen eye and know what your needs and wants are. And, you have to rip the plastic off the mag. Duh.

In before the lock...Yes!

Japanese porn, while good, is definitely not cheap.

Still trying to figure out why Korean porn is so bad. Even Chinese porn is half way decent even though China is only a few steps shy of a police state with heavy heavy fines for pornography.
