Well this is not a flame at people less familar with technology but here's a classic I found on the good 'ol net :

"Im uber happy with my player, but is it ok to stick my mini-stereo plug all the way in to the headphone jack? It seems like im gonna break it if I do."

Ever heard what music sounds like when your plug is only halfway in??? Shocked

OMG, I used to work tech support and I have stories.

This one woman tried to put a floppy disc into the CD tray of a Cd-Rom drive.

Another woman couldn't understand why printer wasn't working. I went down there and asked why it wasn't plugged into the computer. She was like, "Where's the computer." I pointed at the gray box next to her leg and she says "I thought that was the radio."

This one guy couldn't access his e-mail so he kicked his computer. There was a huge dent in the side with black scuff marks from his shoe. He kept denying he broke company property despite being on camera.

This other guy unplugged his mouse from his USB port to plug in his flash jump drive and couldn't figure out why he couldn't use the mouse.

This other woman thought the CD-Drive tray was a cupholder. I'm dead serious.

If I buy a Mac from Korea's Apple Store online, can I get it with an English OS?

Is it really such a remote possibility that Apple sell English copies of its OS via the Apple Korea website? Especially given that it's an American company?

Is it really such a remote possibility that Sony/Panasonic/Toshiba/NEC sell Japanese copies of its Windows OS via their Korean website? Especially given that they are Japanese companies?

I wasn't aware that Sony/Panasonic/Toshiba/NEC developed Windows.

(sorry about the sneaky Edit)

We're not talking about the Japanese. OBVIOUSLY the Japanese have found it within themselves to (even! Laughing ) develop software for Windows in Japanese. We're not talking about the Japanese.

You were making fun of Dave's ESLers for asking if Apple sold English versions of its software on the Apple Korea website.

Dell, as an example, certainly sells English Windows packaged with systems on its Korean webpage. So, to spell it out for you, yes - it IS a very likely possibility that Apple would do the same. Therefore not an unrealistic question.

Whether they do or not is moot.

Go away.

You don't get it do you? I used the same example you gave but you came up with a bunch of sarcastic crap. "I didn't know Sony blah blah developed Windows".... what a dumb *beep*.

Moot point now.

Kudos to Dell. How did you find that out? From the website? Then I would suggest going to the Apple website and do the same thing.

Make perfect sense to you? Rolling Eyes

If. DELL. Sells. English. OSes. On. Its. Korean. Website. Then. There's. A. *possibility*. That. Apple. Does. The. Same.

Explain to me again why: "Does Apple sell English versions of its OS on the Apple Korea website?" is a dumb question that only a Dave's ESL retard would ask?

My Korean's not too bad - so I can actually check (like I did @ DELL). If my Korean wasn't so good (I am looking for English OSX, after all..) I'd probably come here to ask the same question. Why is that stupid?

The fact that Apple doesn't actually do that doesn't make it a dumb question to ask (if you don't know that they don't!).

This whole thread sucks, actually. It reeks of elitism. Ever hear the saying: "The only stupid question is the one you don't ask?"
