| Kueh Mool, or the host, gets a big "thumbs up" from the "everyone's-a-winner" type critic. It's got everything for a viewer who seeks the thrill of victimization. The ending is loooong, with the monster seemingly dying a few times. Definitely a movie for recent "indie" movie types who have recently emigrated from Popcorn Nation. |

You summed up my feelings so well.
It was funny for a while but the cheese kept on coming. I saw this movie in a DVD bang with a friend and we basically bashed it for probably half its run time but then we just couldn't make fun of it anymore. We had ran out of all the possible ways to rip on that movie and just sat through the rest of it in silence.
Complete crap.... |

That, too. It felt like I was watching a mid to late 90's Korean comedy. I just hope it was deliberate on the director's part (the 90's is probably what Korean kids think of right now when they hear the word 'retro').

I didn't bother to watch most of the last 5 minutes; as in most mid to late 90's Korean movies I've seen, what I saw of the last 20 minutes of the movies seemed like an afterthought. |
