No no. Not spoo (which is best served cold). The character limit on the Subject field makes me seem like a raving B5 fan. Go Narns! I'm a better human than that. Anyway, it should be "stealing spoons". I need 'em. Restaurants have 'em. I've determined since I can't stiff a waiter a tip for poor or slow service, I'm just gonna pocket a spoon for my apartment.

Anyone ever figure out a way to lift a cabbie's spare tire for being taken for a ride?

How do you get your due here in Korea?

Wow... I hope you feel good about yourself. A server is bad, so steal from the owner......

I use my chopsticks to mess up all the side dishes I didn't eat so they can't (easily) re-serve them.

Much better idea and if you are naive enough to think this don't happen I have seen it. I always make a holy hell mess of the sides. I have seen resturants clear tables and put kim chi back in the "big" pot along with others. Good sense Q.

I was joking, though. I've never actually had bad service in Korea. Hmm hmm..

Ascertain the price before you get in.

I'm a big tipper, always have been. I don't care what Koreans do - I tip!
I tip cabbies, servers, the guy who delivers the pizza...everyone. And when I go to small bars in Itaewon I tip! And I ask for buy backs and I get em! I'm the new kid in town and all you cheapskates are in trouble.

There are places I still tip. Bars, I'll tip. Cabbies I round off to the nearest chun. Some restaurants not run by Koreans, like an Indian restaurant, I'll tip. If I stay in a Korean hotel, I'll leave the maids etc a tip. I do think it's kind of funny when you leave a tip in a Korean pub and the barmaid comes running out after you to give you the money back. That's when me and my friends employ the ol' "tip 'n' dash" trick. In retrospect, that might not be a good idea. Someone suggested once that they might actually get in trouble for taking the money without first making an effort to give it back.

My GF when we visited Toronto didn't want to tip in a Korean restaurant. I left the tip.

I sometimes steal glasses from bars, but that's it. And that's usually more because I've had the same glass all night and I've grown emotionally attached to it.

That's understood. You loved your glass. There's nothing wrong with that.
