Do these rules apply to future in-laws (apart from 7 and 8, I mean).

My future in-laws want us to loan them 3 million, and we borrowed 10 million off them as a deposit on this apartment, my future brother-in-law has also borrowed 700,000won from us.

Yeah the bank of CLG has been well utlised by current waygook workmates. I'm just a sucker, however all of it (that isn't out on loan at present) has been paid back.

I'm a bit nervous about the current loan and am thinking about shutting up shop after this comes back.

WALTERMITTY: sound advice. But i'd still lend to a close friend if they were in dire need. By close friend, its sadly not often a fellow esler you've known for 6 months.
KIWIOUTOFTHENEST:Sad but true, I've formed few if any real, genuine friendships with other teachers here. The reason is that they are usually temporary friendships of convenience, based on being from the same western culture. Once they fly out of Korea, you're generally forgotten about. I really thought I'd made a great and real friendship with a like-minded Aussie girl last year. But since her escape from korea, barely an email to be had from her.
