My wife is Canadian and I am American. We are deciding which country
to reside in, so we have talked to a Immigration tax accountant. We actually we would pay less taxes in Canada (55,000us income+investments) and get health care. According to the immigration tax account this was normal.
In the US I paid $135 per month for health care and my empolyer paid the other half ($270 total). In Canada I would not have to pay this and
there would not be a co-pay at every health visit (ussually 10 to 20 dollars). In my case health care services were much better in Canada
then in America. |
