Frankly, (don't call me Frank) I give a bigger damn about MIA Prostitution center being off-limits to honkies rather than this HELIOS thing. Irish have a problem with the bottle, wink wink if you know what I mean. But I get fighten mad when hoes tell me (seem to tell me)...that I aint good enough for the80K ride. First they say the reason homie can't play is he's "too big".Now I am the source of AIDS in Korea. Isn't prostitution "illegal" in Korea? Memo to headquarters: IS ANYTHING ON THE UP & UP IN THIS COUNTRY?
Last month's story: Koreans are immune to SARS because of the
garlic/fermented fumunda/ginger/what ever be in Kimche residue. People in dozens of countries go down with this thing (after Chinese eat
rabid cats) but Koreans (whose country borders China) are strangely free of this plague. Kimche. The cure -all to everything. Fast forward to last week. My Canadian friend (who eats kimche by the metric ton) goes to
Phillipines and catches a nasty case of STD. What good is kimche?
PS Before the economic geniuses on this board start speculating about
Korean won/yen/USD ..when should I exchange, here is my free advice:
If you are a typically broke teacher here, don't worry about it. The difference for you amounts to less than a pitcher of beer at your local Hof.
If you are sitting on a pile of WON (25 big ones or more) wait a few more weeks. After Bush visits Japan in October the real speculation begins. I
will be buying a "basket" of Euros and yen in late October.
PSS IMF/Korea began in earnest THIS WEEK fall 1997. |

One strange thing I was just thinking about.. ever notice the tremendous amounts of hyperness and energy that Korean adults have? They bound up stairs, they go crazy and dance with all the arms and feet flailing in every direction (particularly the men), and just seem filled with boundless energy all the time.. its weird..
Is it something in the kimchee? |

What??? Maybe I'm hyperactive, but I find Korean people move at a crawl most of the time. Walking in a crowd here really brings out the Type A in my personality. It's like they can't walk and talk on the cell phone at the same time. The exception is when I see the 75 year old grandmother cruising up the mountain . . .that's impressive |

Yeah, thats true.. they do walk SUPER-slow in the street.. maybe they just resigned themselves to the fact its a pointless battle.. whereas we haven't realized that yet.. (or something)..
Most Koreans I know are just hyper hyper hyper!! Even in my workplace I got hyper people jumping up and running around and darting off here and there.. then the discos or bars.. Korean guys in particular just hyper hyper hyper.. and when they sit with you for a drink they are constantly doing something all of the time.
On a one-to-one basis.. I just wanna yell RELAX please!! But yeah, on the street.. when you are trying to walk around them.. they just kind of slog alone, don't they? Unless of course you have an old ajumma pushing you in the back as you walk (pretty common in Busan when I lived there).. |

Forget you blackie.
But seriously blacks have seriously higher HIV/AIDS rates in the U.S. far higher than whites. So maybe that's why they thought that about you? Among whites HIV is almost all homosexuals.
Too big? Did you see the movie Full Metal Jacket? "It ain't too god damn big it aint too small it's just pure Alabama blacksnake." The prostitute in that movie didn't think he was too big. |

Good I'm glad Korea discriminated against other Asian countries and had no SARS. Block the suckers and put up "China citizens not welcome" signs. And keep in mind people the real season for SARS is winter in which it infests itself inside of the common cold. If you don't believe me look it up. |

Kim chi is probably the most healthy food you could find.
Garlic is a natural antibiotic.
Ginger is good for stomach disorders and has other cleansing properties that I don't know much about.
Chilli makes my nose run so I'm guessing it's good for the sinus area. I thought the SARS/kim chi thing was silly, but now I'm not so sure.
Ah, by 'STD' what sort of disease were you talking about? Where I come from that means 'sexually transmitted disease'. So kim chi wouldn't have any effect on an STD, but it would have an effect on a condition that affects the respiratory system.
Next time you have a cold, eat lots of kim chi and see what happens. |
