I made a post here about Google Earth some time ago, and it died. But, never being one to give up, I thought another go might be in order. For those who dont know what it is, it allows you to zoom in anywhere on the Earth's surface and see what is there.
Some areas, like most of Seoul, have great imagery, allowing you to see cars, and even people. Others are less good. But there is a download that will show you all the subway lines and exits. You can find that here....

For those looking for Beer O'Clock you can find a placemark here....

Given the lack of street names and numbers that are of use to most posters and readers here, I think this could be a valuable resource.
It is good for sending to others trying to find your house, or other locations. A moderated sticky thread that contained only placemarks would be useful I think.

Check out the traffic in Seoul. Then pop up to Pyongyang and try to find traffic ... v. interesting.
I use Google Earth as a teaching tool fairly often. Yesterday some students were reading a chapter about London so I had them each find a famous landmark in the city, plus look at the geography of the Thames.
My Dad lives in a small village but you can see his house, car and garden no problem. I'm even convinced that a black dot in the back garden is Dad's dog, outside for a pee.
I've been able to send my co-ordinates to Daegu to friends and family so they can see EXACTly where I live and work.
