Regarding some apparent confusion out there I would like to present to you: DRAMA OVERKILL'S EASY SIX STEP GUIDE TO CLEANING AN ASHTRAY

Step 1 - Pick up the ashtray.

Step 2 - Locate the nearest trash bin and proceed to walk towards it (Note - if you are familiar with the layout of your own home or workplace this step shouldn't take more than 10 to 20 seconds).

* Having located the trash bin you should now prepare yourself to remove the lid (Note - this will require the use of your other hand. i.e. - the one not currently holding an ashtray).

Step 3 - Remove the trash bin lid.

Step 4 - Place the ashtray directly over the bin and proceed to turn it upside down (Note - this step requires some turning of the wrist... careful now!). Technical hint - a properly targeted downwards thrust or two will send any pesky sticky bits into the bin.

Step 5 - Put the lid back on the trash bin.

Step 6 - The cleaning part now complete, you should now set the ashtray down on a flat surface of your choice. Done!

* You are now now free to replace the wet tissue or coffee grinds in the ashtray (should you please). Should there be any confusion regarding how to go about doing the fore-mentionned options, I'd be more than happy to post my very own SOME LIKE IT WET: TISSUE, WATER, AND THE ASHTRAY and COFFEE GRINDS: OUT OF THE FILTER AND INTO THE ASHTRAY - PART 1 to help you along.

* Still confused??? Please feel free to PM me to arrange a possible telephone meeting. We can then (privately, one on one) discuss and work out any of those obscure hard-to-get details pertaining to the cleaning of an ashtray...

Happy smoking! Smile

Just a second. Let me get a pen. Oh wait! I have Word. Just let me copy and paste that. Save it as "Stupid" and delete it and empty the trash bin.

Thanks. Rolling Eyes

Nah. You'd probably swear by doing something useless like unplugging my computer.

I've got it down to two steps.

1. open window.

2. throw ashtray out the window.

A wonderfully helpful thread.

I think that water in the ashtrays is one of the best innovations in the entire country of Korea. They're so advanced when it comes to cigarette disposal.

Their trash disposal and the overall cleanliness of the streets would indicate a proclivity towards hygene and sanitary innovation.

I am only sad that I didn't discover the magic of watered ash trays long before now. Soon, I might have to request a phone meeting to discuss the advanced topics of proper tissue placement, etc.

Coz it's ok in Korea. We have a big garbage pit outback of my hagwon. Those outside platforms for one person. Finished coffee? Drop the cup. Finished smoking? Fling the butt. Finished soda? Throw the can. YES INDEED!
