My contract is up next week - been here two years.
MWF - 5 forty minutes classes (3:15-7:00)
T/Th - 1 class (4:00 - 5:30)
(fixed schedule for the year)
In and out - Elementary school students. 1 month vacation. Pension, Insurance etc all paid in full. 2.4 million.
Feeling a bit stale. |

Go.
You gave entirely outward information, nothing about enjoying your life. I take it that you don't enjoy it. You sound as if you are in a rut.
Go. |

Stay.
It's not a bad schedule. Many have worse. If you think it's stale, then it's YOU who are stale ... look inside to find the reasons for that, because those reasons will follow you, wherever, and whatever job comes next next.
Also, another clue: Things get better.
Stay, unless you have other reasons.
Ya-ta, we usually agree. This might be a day to circle on the calendar ... |

Three years is the max. Can't stay here forever though. |

I agree that we usually agree, Bobster. In this case, I don't get the sense that the OP is committed to teaching, so I'm assuming he will go on to a different kind of job that may be more fulfilling. If I had the feeling he is committed to teaching but is feeling stale, then I would agree with you in this case. |

If you are feeling a bit stale then it is definately time to move on.
Maybe try a different age group, city or even country. Life too short to stay in the same place for too long. If you are stale you are not living life mearly existing.

Do you like the kids and co-workers? If so, stay; don't expect to get another job with those hours for that pay. |

I actually love my job. The problem is that all my classes run like well oiled machines. My kids are great - Korean teachers are lovely and very generous.
No Drama-No Drama-No Drama-No Drama
I know i would be crazy to leave this position - as I even have permission to work a legal part time job.
My boss is fantastic.
But something about the unknown - new school - new kids - new books and materials is enticing me. Guess its the gambler inside of me.

If it's that good stay. Have a good break and then get back into it. You can change your daily routine and put a bit of life back into what you do. Find some extra curricular activities to do. Enjoy each day. |
