I've got two games with circular scratches near the outside of the discs less than .5 cm. I think they could have been caused by the console itself. However, the console has always remained in a horizontal position. They aren't deep, so I believe they can be fixed. Any solutions readily available in Korea?

One of the games hangs when loading. The other gives an error message from the dashboard when I try to load it. It says the disk is dirty, etc.

This may be a reoccurring thing.

Unfortunately I can't get my console repaired since I opened it up.

Being that you can't get it repaired, maybe you can try using some of the online solutions for fixing light surface scratches on CD/DVDs. I've heard of people using toothpaste or metal polish to "buff" out scratches. I don't condone any, though, as I haven't tried myself.

Try googling: dvd + repair + scratch

Good luck.

You can buy scratch repair kits for light scratches. Check Yongsan.
