Just wondering if anyone from Canada knows how much refund a person should get if they have been paying into it for two years. I am leaving in four months and I am trying to plan ahead financially. Any advice would be great. Thanks. |

You should get a sum equal to 9% of your gross earnings for the two years. |

Whatever you've paid into it times two. Rough estimate:
Hagwon job paying 2.1million a month.
100 from you per month time 24 months and then times 2.
100 X 24=2400 X 2=4800
So, I would say, depending on how much you've been making. Somewhere around 4,800,000W.

You should check with your local pension office. They can tell you the amount you have banked.
If you have a Korean friend you can check this on-line on the Korean homepage (I don't believe this can be done through the English page) here: http://www.nps4u.or.kr/index.html
