| My police report is in Spanish because of where I have been living and teaching English for the past five years. I'm guessing here I'll need it translated, but how? Does anyone know what type of translation Korean immigration or the Education Office or whoever cares about such things wants? I'm guessing it must be by a certified translator and then validated by the Korean consulate but does anyone know for sure? |

You just get someone to translate it for you from Spanish to English, and then get it notarised. Embassies do not do any notarisation.
Are you still in Spain? Where? Madrid? I can recommend someone to do this translation for you - he is a professional translator. |

| But must it be an government-recognized official translator? I'm bilingual but not an official translator, can I do it? Does the Korean consulate/embassy here in Mexico need to have anything to do with it or can I just submit it as is to SMOE or whoever hires me? |

| Sure, you can translate it yourself. What is important is that it must be notarised. |
