Hi everyone,
The weather is getting warm and beautiful these days. I thought I would ask for any outdoor english lesson activities that you've used that you would like to share with the Davesesl community.
Thanks! |

I did a version of scavenger hunt with my high schoolers in the playgroud. PM me with your e-mail if you'd like a copy.
They really enjoyed it.

I was thinking to post the same thread! Last spring for my middle school girls we played Red Rover, What Time is It and Simon Says. I also had an additional day outside giving teams of girls a paper with all the letters of the alphabet. They had to find objects outside starting with that letter -- first team back with all was winner. For my high school girls, I also did a scavenger hunt with teams. They had to bring items back to a central spot and identify their English names (e.g., something rusty, something old, etc.). I look forward to other ideas. |

I can't do outdoor activites at my regular school, cause I would have to it for all the classes, but at my alternate school, I was thinking of doing a nature walk, and talking about the vocabulary of the stuff outside. At camps sometimes we will play a game, like soccer, or baseball, but we spend some time first on teh vocabulary of the game and practise that during the game. |
