Where do you go to buy a topical antibotic like neosporin? Can you just pop into a pharmacy and get it without a prescription?
And what about anti-fungal powder/cream? |

For Neosporin, I'd just go into a pharmacy and ask for a first aid cream. It's available over the counter. I don't know about an anti-fungal cream. If I were you, I'd just ask for it at the pharmacy and find out what they tell you. |

You can buy an ointment called "fucidin" over the counter here, which is an antibiotic ointment similar to Neosporin. |

That's one thing I miss...being able to go into a pharmacy and just picking up what I need without bothering anyone. When we went to Bejing last year, we found this nice mall that had a western style pharmacy. My wife and I went in and I was able to find first aid cream and some other stuff. |

There's another one, too: I believe the name in English is Madecasol. The Korean name for Fucidin actually starts with an H.
I've found Neosporin at the black market stores: Dongdaemun, as well as a couple of the ones in Bundang. You could also check the Red Door.
Lamisil is an excellent antifungal cream, and it's available here. I understand you can get it with or without prescription, the only difference being cost.
Or, shop abroad. I stock up on that stuff when I'm in countries that don't require communication with pharmacists. |
