Question: where is the best place in the world to take a vacation
Student's Answer: I think it is Japan. It's because they make alots of technologe. I like Japan.

| Today the same student said he wishes he were Japanese because he loves the cartoons. Until recently virtually no Japanese pop culture was imported into Korea (think there was a trade dispute about games/movies) and now that its pouring in I think that it will help Japanese/Korean relations a lot in the long term. |

No trade dispute, Korea just banned Japanese cultural products after WWII. This was to de-Japanonify Korea after 30+ years as a Japanese colony. Although people were still able to get Japanese comics and such in the black market. |

| Wishes he were Japanese? WOW. That's the opposite of everyone else. Kids as young as grade 2 automatically respond to Japan like bible thumpers and the devil. |

I would be proud of that kid for his reasoning!
At least he didn't say "I think is Japan because Japan very cutey"
