I know that this has been done to death many times and I have read about it on this board. So, some new opinions would be nice. I'll be getting a new job in the future and instead of applying through the Internet, I'd rather just come to Korea and do it from there(ie check out the school, apartment, etc). I can definitely cover the airfare one way but the return might be too much of a hit. So, I've been thinking about getting the return to go to Japan instead of thousands of miles back home. Then, possibly getting a refund once I get the job squared away. Now, I've heard some airlines back home won't let you fly unless you have a return back to your home country. Not sure if this is true, so if anyone out there came to Korea with an open end ticket to Japan, did you have any problem with the airlines back home about flying out? Did Korean immi. give any problems? Also, what's the best way to go about getting the refund(I'll be paying with cash, not a credit card). Thanks.
