There are other ways we can tell if a news network is pushing propaganda...

This presupposes that at least some news networks actually serve the govt and disseminate its propaganda.

To me this is pure hyperbole. There seems to be something more to this for you, however.

Got any examples?

Well, the extent to which this is hyperbole really depends on one's definition of propaganda, doesn't it?

But ok, I'll quickly run down what I've got here. First of all,...

Dude, you are SO much more patient than I am. Sadly, all that extra time gets you no further than it gets me, but I spend about 1/10 the time.

Twisted Evil

Carry on, though! Great stuff.

dear efl,

your politics and mine aren't entirely different, but right now you're coming across as a crazed lunatic. This may be what you're aiming for, but if you aren't aware of this already, most people don't pay much heed to what lunatics say/write.

A change in tact may result in a far more receptive audience....

Just a thought.

I am not concerned with people who are sidetracked by an epithet or two. If one is prone to disregard the message because of the messenger, no amount of intelligent rhetoric is going to make any difference.

That said, it was gopher, the current administration's lies and attacks on character, and the other neo-cons on this board that got me to posting the way I have since a few months before the election. It was a specific choice to fight fire with fire. I have already been toning down the epithets over the last week or so, and a mod on another thread tossed down an ultimatum, so...

Wink

But tell me, where is the outrage at the things they post? Baby/bathwater.

Look at my sig and tell me how appropriate THAT is. Or SteveMcG comparing me to the mass murderer, Cho. Not a single word of protest to them. So, "idiot" is more offensive?

Sad, that. Tells the story, does it not? The content of their posts is far, far more insulting, yet the epithet gets people's attention?

So, yes, certainly some reflection is in order...
