Malkin: Just Another GOP Chickenhawk Smearing Democratic Veterans
Quote:

Kennedy did two years in the Army from 1951 through 1953. Kerry had his tour in Vietnam, for which he was awarded a Silver Star, a Bronze Star with Combat V and three Purple Hearts. Jack Murtha served in the U.S. Marines for 37 years, is also a Vietnam combat veteran and was decorated with the Bronze Star, two Purple Hearts, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry and the Navy Distinguished Service Medal.

These are the guys that Malkin and her ilk say are cowards.

But she's totally cool with these guys (with descriptions courtesy of the great folks at ChickenhawkCards.com, creators of "The Deck of Republican Chickenhawks"):

* George W. Bush: Went National Guard, checked the box marked "Do Not Volunteer for Overseas" on his application and then went AWOL.
* *beep* Cheney: "Had other priorities" like four student deferments.
* Karl Rove: Avoided the draft. Many schools, no degrees.
* Paul Wolfowitz: Avoided service through college deferment.
* Condoleeza Rice: Chickenhawk enabler. Never served.
* Tom DeLay: Chose to enlist in the war on *beep*, fleas and termites as the owner of an exterminator business, rather than joining Kerry or Murtha in battling the Vietcong.
* Newt Gingrich: Avoided Vietnam through college deferment.
* Rudy Giuliani: Never served.
* Sam Brownback: Never served.
* Mitt Romney: Never served.

Bush didn't go AWOL . Why Dan Rather is no longer there.

Bush's miltiary service is better than just about any of the democrats.

And John McCains is way better than any politican anywhere.

and Bush?
Cheney?
Wolfowitz?
Rumsfeld?
Rove?
Armitage?
Libby?
Perle?
Kristol?

None of the three you mentioned above has ever instigated a war. These chickenhawks, these proponents of war...where have they seen it?

And Bush's "military service"? If you call going AWOL and dereliction of duty "service", then your head needs service.

Joo, rather than hijacking every thread and filling it with stupid, meaningless posts that basically shut them down - that seems to be your intent - why don't you at least attempt to post on topic? The topic is the ass-kicking Olbermann laid down. Watch the video, respond to the content.

Guiliani is the man. Look at New York City before and after Guiliani.

His performance speaks for itself.

NYC is now adump suitable only for rich yuppies and movie stars. Guiliani turned the city into one big friggin disney store and GAP. No thanks. He threw all the poor people out of the city. Is that more compassionate conservatism?

Anyone praising Rudy in this thread either didn;t watch the olbermann commentary or was too stupid to understand it.

You can praise rudy all you want in other threads, but to praise him in this specific thread makes you an ignorant fool.

I gather you either didn't read my first paragraph, or haven't seen the video?

Because if you read the first paragraph and have seen the video, there shouldn't be any question marks.
