Gang,

Can't seem to find the instructions on how to shrink an avatar...

How do I go about doing so? Going to the get-together, and first shot is on me.

Shoosh,

R yst

WHOA....
That's a big pic.
At this point the photo is probably bigger than the kid itself.

If you have any simple graphics manipulation program, resizing should be a breeze.

Try ACDSee (latest versions of this excellent picture viewer have a built in image editor/retoucher) or Paint Shop Pro.

For a extremely powerful (and free) but rather tricky graphics tool, you could consider "Gimp" on win32. Shouldn't be too hard to track down an installer via google.

I've been using Photoshop lately for all my graphics manipulation, so there could be a lot more programs out there which will do the job for less hassle, but those programs I mentioned above will definitely do the trick.

Make sure you maintain aspect ratio when you resize to eliminate distortion or cropping of the picture.

Please ignore my comments regarding your avatar in the off-topic forum- check back in 10 min. and I'll have it resized for you. Hopefully you have some place to host it as my bandwidth is pushing the limit my ISP gives me...

Here you go- right click and save. PM Lemon or one of the other mods, they might know where you can get a host for it.

AHAHAHA

*sheepish*

I never knew you could make those sorts of changes within Paint. I stand corrected :)

Thanks for the heads up Gord.
