No problems about not getting back to me.
I have one place in mind for the present. There is a little lawn area in my apartment complex on the 20th floor. So, if it's sunny, we could use that.
I'm not interested in doing this for profit, but as part of my karma yoga practice. So, I'll teach for free when time permits. (I tend to keep a regular schedule.)
I think sometime on Sundays would be good, weather permitting. If there were only two or three people, I could probably make room in my apartment if it is raining or cold.
I think I'm only twenty or so minutes from PNU. The Subway stop is Bujeon-dong. I actually live in Jeonpo-dong. I could meet some people there, at the subway, at an arranged time.
I may try to arrange to get some space at a temple, but I need to talk some more with those people.
Anyone would be welcome. I think 11:00 on Sunday would be good? What do you think? |

11 might be a little early depending on what I end up doing on Saturday night. What does everyone else think? I also have a friend that is interested. So that makes 2 on my end. |

Try to make it a time when your stomach will be empty, at least two hours after a meal. It would be good to practice and then grab something to eat.
The practice is two hours long, and very complete. It gets every muscle, joint, hits every major gland, etc. Try to avoid alcohol the night before. If you must drink, drink very lightly.
I used to drink, but now I don't. Don't get me wrong, I love a good beer. But I can feel a difference in my system for a few days after having a good beer or two. If you avoid the alcohol, the benefit of the practice will be augmented. Alcohol only depresses the system. Besides, joy is not in the alcohol.
Still, it's your business what you do to your body. This is just a suggestion. I'm just interested in being around people who are interested in yoga. |

If you all figure out a time that'll work for you, PM me. I don't have consistent access to the internet on the weekends just yet, but I will soon. |

I would also be interested in practicing yoga. I used to practice at my gym in Canada but haven't been to a class in almost 2 months now. I am not much past the beginner level, sadly. I have Sundays off so any time on Sunday works for me. |

Don't worry that you're abeginner. I've taught many classes which are mixed with advanced and beginning students.
I'm not sure that I'll be availalbe this weekend. But, I may be.
How would an 11 or 12 o'clock session be for people? The trick would be to eat an early breakfast or something very light a few hours before, if not outright fast for the morning. It is really important for many reasons to practice on an empty stomach. Many of the reasons are obvious. But there are reasons which relate to the regulation of prana (energy). When we eat, a great amount of our energy is devoted to digestion. We want that energy to be fully available for practice.
The practice, as I said, is two hours long. But, it does not feel so long. It is broken up into distinct parts: Pranayama (breathing exercises), Surya Namaskar (sun salutations/warm-up) and 12 asanas (poses). Finally, there is a 10-15 minute deep relaxation which is key to leaving the practice with a sense of bliss.
This style has a deep lineage, a chain of gurus going back to Shankar himself in the 7th century. It's no pop yoga. I think you'll really like it. |

11 or 12 would work easily for me. Please pm the details once you know for sure if you are available and what time you want to get started. I am really looking forward to trying your style of yoga. Te longest class I have taken was 75 minutes. |

Hey y'all,
I think I'd like to get the yoga thing going this coming weekend. Perhaps next Sunday will be good for you?
How's 11:00? I'm open for suggestions. Let't try to make this happen and see how it goes. I think you'll be glad for it.
I can meet people at the Bujeon subway at a certain time...or whatever. |

That's fine. Let's play it by ear. We'll see if we can't get a few interested folk this week, and then take a look at next week. |

I'm game, but can you send me a reminder PM or just bump this thread on Thursday or Friday. I'm horrible about forgetting things like this!
Have you thought about posting on the Busan forum on pusanweb.com? There are a fair number of people who don't read this board over there. |

Hey, all.
I think I'm going to put off starting the yoga for a week. I've been very sick and I need some good rest.
Also, It'd be nice if you'd let me know if your interested in practicing. I think there are only two so far interested, which is enough to get started. If you're interested, either post or PM me. If you have any friends interested, kick 'em in the butt. It'd be nice to get a network of yogis in this community.
Also, this isn't only for waygooks. The only requirement is that they can understand enough english to understand my directions. I don't practice with the students, but use spoken directions to guide the class. |
