I know most of you feel disgusted about the idea of eating dogs. While surely you won't try it yourself, how do feel about those who do? Will you still make friends with them or even date them? |

I was dating Sanghee for two months until I found out that she was secretly eating dog behind my back the whole time with my best friend Mike.
I confronted her about it. She told me that although the dining was good between us, it just wasn't enough and she felt more complete when eating dog with Mike. I had to end the relationship.
Don't let a bowl of dog meat come between friends. |

there is nothing wrong with eating dog. It's just an animal like a cow, rabbit, chicken.
Eat up.
The problem in Korea is the way the dog is killed, it's just as bad as how the french kill their damn geese but you don't see moral outrage and protests against that do you? |

I was dating an Indian girl...she wouldn't eat beef..so I totally dumped her ass. Then I started seeing this nice Jewish girl. No pork? WTF? So I had to curb her too.
See how retarded this sounds?
My wife eats all sorts of crazy stuff that I hate. I mean really hate. We're still married after 5 years. If insects, silk worm pupae and kimchi breath doesn't bother me...why would a little Rover? |

Completely agreed. A dog is just an animal. When I'm in Korea, if someone puts a bowl of puppy국 in front of me, I'm gonna eat it.
But I was under the impression that not many Korean people eat it....none of my Korean friends have tried it, only the father of one of my guy friends.... |

I have to say I'm pleasantly surpirsed at people's responses about eating dogs. It's great to see some open-minded people. I don't care what other people choose to eat or not to eat, as long as it's not illegal. |

I don't care if it's illegal. Countries make stupid laws. If it's endangered or protected for good reason, I won't eat it.
The US is considering making it illegal to eat horse because of their "cultural value." Freedom my ass. I'd still eat it in the US, despite the law. |

See, why do you think we are disgusted by the idea? Do you eat any meat? How is eating a cow or a pig or a lamb different from eating a dog? answer: it isnt. Only hypocrites would think that |

That is um...slightly misleading. Sometimes when you get to know people a little better they are more open about it. In my town there are about 3 dog restuarants of that I know of. One has it on the menu but doesn't have a dog killing factory outside or anything. One is version is called Sa-chul-tang. Personally I don't mind it. My husband eats it. Nearly or over half students raise their hands if I ask who likes ka-gogi. Especially if I say I have tried it and don't mind it a bit. However, I don't like the cruel killing methods. But killing is inherently not fun for the thing being killed.
Am from Nebraska and grew up around farmers. Less um...hand wringing over tomorrow's dinner.
Can't stomach the silk worm things. Oh dear gawd they reek. But tried the fried grasshoppers...not great sort of bitter.
I have given up arguing with people that will munch down on a big mac or filet o' fish and condem Koreans for eating dog.

American Indians ate dog. So do the Chinese. |
