hello,

being an american, i know next to zero about cricket.
i am aware however, that a cricket bat is not easy to find in korea.

anyway, i am looking for a cricket bat to be used by the international community at yonsei university, seoul. some people here are trying to get some interest, players, and equipment together for informal games.

if anyone can share their knowledge regarding where i can find a bat as well as any info on any existing cricket community here in seoul and korea, i would be very greatful!

thanks ahead for any help/info you can give.

P.S. SORRY FOR GOING "GENERAL BOARD" ON THIS!

Here's some info you may find useful:

There is a Korean Cricket Association and they should be able to help you with any and all enquiries re. equipment, places to play, general info etc....

Contact Mr Charlie Berkley at:

Sorry, no Telephone number...

As for being American, you may be interested to know that Cricket was the USA's #1 spectator and player sport until the Civil War when Baseball emerged as the dominant game...in fact, until the 20th century I believe, the largest single crowd for a team game in the USA was more than 40,000 people who watched a cricket game in the 1840's or 1850's (not exactly sure of the date...) in New York. So, in effect, you're just re-discovering your heritage...!

I'd love to play some cricket. Is this open to anyone? I've tried asking before about any people with equipment etc, but a general lack of response.
