I know that ethnic minorities in Korea constitute about 0.0005% of the population, but could anyone suggest where I might find the actual figures? |

I'm guessing that he's talking about people who have become naturalized citizens. I don't think there are a lot. Some might be immigrant (farm/factory) workers that eventually became citizens. I read that the largest minority here are Chinese, but that may mean ethnic Koreans--many who moved to China during the Korean war and since wanted to move back. I think if you check the CIA factbook you can find out more information.
If you want information about foreigners temporarily residing in Korea, I guess that will probably be difficult to get. You can check embassy sites, but the numbers are always changing even then. |
