| i can't believe people buy into these trips arcoss the border that go to some resort in the mountains. i was just checking out the adventure korea summary of the trip. its $370 without the shows, dinners, lunch, and hots springs admission. one night you sleep on a dang bus and then you stay at a resort run by chinese people for one night. some experience! i just can't stand it when people pay insane amounts of money just to say they did something. not to mention, who the hell knows where your money is going? i've talked to people who say,"it was so worth it because the mountains were so beautiful." we have mountains in south korea, thanks. |

| Nevermind about the money. I'd be more concerned about my safety and being abducted. It's not an unreasonable concern. N. Korea has a long history of abducting citizens from S. Korea, Japan, America etc. I'd sooner visit Myanmar, Iraq or Sri Lanka. |

you know what really pisses me off? it's those god dang "space tourists"! who the hell do they think they are spending $20 million just to fly around in a fancy airplane for a week, so they can say "hey, look what i did". i mean we have airplanes on earth, too and who knows where that money went to. geez the nerve of some people.  |

Uhhh, no it's actually quite an unreasonable concern. There's billions of dollars invested in that resort and abductions would be pretty bad for buisness.

Uhhh, no it's actually quite an unreasonable concern. There's billions of dollars invested in that resort and abductions would be pretty bad for buisness. |
Has North Korea abducted people before? Was the business built? Has the business succeeded? Do some people ignore the past? Are some people ignorant of the past? Do some people say to themselves, "Oh, that will not happen to me?" Is it possible that abductions would not really harm business? "Shhh... What abductions?" |

Do you really think the North Koreans would abduct a tourist from the Diamond Mountains?
I understand they're an irrational regime in many facets, but I mean come on man, Pyongyang is making a nice set of coin from this operation. Americal dollar bills y'all!
They are desperate for Greenbacks and would risk it by kidnapping a western tourist from it primary tourist attraction. |

I could be wrong on this, but I thought I read where Americans weren't even allowed a visa to go in the country. And do you think South Koreans would really care if an American tourist got abducted there??
