"Do you pay into the national pension system, which is required by law?"
"How many classes are there in a week? How long is each class? Does each class count as a teaching hour?"
"Do you provide medical insurance?"
"Do you have any photos available of the living accomadation?"
" What age group will I be teaching?"
.......that is a start.
Good luck.

For you director, one question. Can I speak to a foreign teacher who currently works there? |

Good point!!!!!!!!!!! Make sure he/she does not pass you on to "white wrangler"......a foreign teacher who is "in charge" of the others. Talk to as many as you can.
Best of luck.

and get their emails or cell phone numbers so you can talk to them when the director isn't breathing down their neck. |

"What's the absolute maximum that you can afford to pay?"
Before asking, tell him/her that you have 10 job offers. |

I agree. Tell them you have many other offers. Salary can be negotiated.
Be careful about the person on the other end of the phone. Before I came to Korea my recruiter had me speak to a Canadian woman who was NOT a teacher at the hogwan. It was BS.
Get email addressses and phone numbers and tell them you'll contact them later to "follow up."
Ask about runners (if there have been any runners- if yes, you do NOT want to work there).
Ask about late pay and benefits. Also, ask about work hours. |
