This sounds fishy and tou good to be true. What do you think???
There are many immediate positions available right
now.
TEACHING ONLY 4 HOURS EACH AFTERNOON - MORNINGS AND
EVENINGS TOTALLY FREE - you are able to discreetly
obtain work to fill up the free hours in the mornings
and evenings, and, in this way, you can easily double
or treble your standard income (see below), so that
you could end up earning well in excess of $6,000USD
per month;
- LOCATION : Several Public School locations
throughout Seoul and surrounding cities within a very
short distance of Seoul - more often than not, the
schools are located in smaller cities located along
one or other of the subway lines in the Seoul Subway
network; however, there are some schools which are
located in other more distant centres: the teacher can
nominate which city or centre he/she wishes to work
in;
- TYPE OF SCHOOL : working under sub-contract in the
Korean Public School system - this is much better and
more secure than working in private hagwons where
stories concerning bad treatment of teachers, not to
mention financial cheating of teachers, are legion!!!
- Number of positions : Several positions currently
available - both in and around Seoul and all of the
other centres both large and small;
- Starting date : Immediately - at the start of each
month, a foreign teacher must be found for the
teaching program; otherwise, it is cancelled!!!
- Salary offered : 2.1mil KRW (4 days per week) ~
2.3mil KRW (5days per week)
- Overtime payment : 20,000 KRW
- Working hours : 16 classes(40 minutes class) per
Week or 20 classes(40 minutes class) per Week
- Working days : Monday ~ Friday
- Working time : 1:00 pm ~ 5:00pm daily: In reality,
you will only have to teach from 1-10pm until 4-30pm,
with breaks between classes of 5-10 minutes.
- Teaching level : Elementary School, Middle School
and High School
- Housings : Free Single housing - fully Furnished
with bed + cable TV (phone + www can quickly be
connected), wardrobe, kitchen (stove + refrigerator +
some kitchen appliances + kitchenware and utensils),
bathroom (shower + toilet), automatic washing machine
- Vacation : 3 weeks - Korean National Holidays +
Summer and Winter Vacation periods
- Benefits : All benefits are provided. (Round-trip
airfare, Medical insurance, Paid-vacation, Year-end
bonus)
If you are not US or Canadian, we ensure that you
receive the full salary without losing the money that
you would otherwise ordinarily have to pay into the
Compulsory National Pension scheme into which teachers
at Korean Public Schools normally have to contribute
about 9% of their salary.
This is a subcontract situation, so if you are
concerned that there might be any problem with
retrieving the compulsory national pension payment,
the employer can and will circumvent that problem in
the new position (any one of several which start on or
about the start of each month in and around Seoul).
Depending on the timing of completion of your current
contract, you might be able to make the next intake of
teachers due for a teaching start in early June. The
worst scenario is that the employer would arrange a
visa run for you subsequent to an early June start, so
that you might have to get a temporary extension of
your current E2 Visa (to go sight-seeing) until you
would fly out to Japan for the visa run (that was my
experience) factored into an early June start. In any
case, there are new positions starting up at the
commencment of each new month, so if you are unable to
start this month, you may be able to start in early
June, July, or succeeding months.
If your current position is completed or almost
complete, or you are now available for work, it is
probable that they will start you immediately on a
temporary extension of your current E2 Visa (if you
are about to finish a current contract here in Korea),
and fly you over to Japan as soon as it was optimal to
gain a new E2 Visa.
I will email you again reiterating much of what was in
my ad, together with a few notes by way of
explanation.
Please forward a copy of all of the usual required
documentation by way of email attachment, viz:
1. Passport Photo Page;
2. Resume;
3. University Degree;
4. University Academic Record.
Please forward all of the above as soon as possible,
and you will definitely score a start in June (early
July at worst).

It wreaks from from low hell to high heaven. That the lessons are 40 minutes long suggests it will be elementary, and that the hours are from 1-5PM suggests it will be in an after-school programme. It looks like an agency that supplies teachers for such a programme is looking for a permanent temp / sub. |

If you have permission from your E2 sponsor and every other work site is registered with immigration then yes, it could be legal. I love how they throw in the word 'discreetly'. |

2,100,000 for 64 classes? Thats about 32,800 won per class.
But OT is only 20K?
Doesn't make any sense to me.
The other stuff about discreetly finding other work?
If it was legal, you wouldn't need to be discreet.
Other stuff doesn't sound right, like the pension thing, but I have a class in a minute.
Smells like poop to me. |

That doesn't mean the job is legal or not. All that means is "get another job and make more money...I know you're going to do it anyways " |

I remember a post not too long ago about a person who worked for a guy named Vincent. Darn if I remember the title though. Anyway, getting the money (salary) from Vincent was doggy and finally impossible. The individual worked at corporations that Vincent had "contracted" with.
Maybe a new slant by an old scammer?

Big play on words. Work around the pension deduction? No additional endorsement on the ARC? Big, big red flags! |
