On a recent episode of Tribe on the Discovery Channel presenter Bruce Parry had to complete an initiation ceremony that involved jumping on to, and running across, several lined up cows. Due to local customs he had to do it in the nude (we've all been there).

Now this being a pretty remote tribe there was plenty of nudity going on. Men, women, front, back. However when the presenter got his WHITE arse out a big fuzzy blob appeared to censor it out. Even in shots where other black arses were visible old Bruce's was kept from us.

Now I know Korea has some weird ideas about race but come on. What message is this giving Korean people about white buttocks?

Well, whites are human enough that you can't have us being exposed on prime-time. Perhaps they feel that Africans aren't human enough to need this?

It is an interesting observation.

I concur, this is the likely explanation.

Who wants to see Bruce's arse anyway?

What do you reckon ladies - is the cheeky chappie hot or not..?

I see it differently. I think those natives should be forced to cover up. Its kind of gross and immoral that they walk around naked.

You are assuming that this was Korean censorship. Maybe the host did agree to nudity as part of the contract. Possibly, he realized that it was necessary under the circumstances, but was not comfortable televising his naked arse. Thus, it was blurred by the show's producers.

Are you mad? An Englisman's ass in Africa?

The censorship was necessary to prevent an epidemic of snowblindness.

Nah I've seen his naked arse as well on the uncensored version.

Not a bad arse either.

A little bit too hair free so I suspect he shaved it or waxed it.

It's the TV Skin Exposure Food Chain.

It's similar to the bra and panty models I saw on TV the other night. About a half dozen Russian women and a dark-skinned woman were modeling sexy bras and panties of similar styles while a Korean woman was modeling some granny outfit.

this reminds me of another double standard in Korea TV. I was flipping though tonite and they cut a scene where a WWE wrestler is about to hit somebody with a metal chair but on another channel 5 minutes later they allow a Stephen Segal film go through where in the first 5 minutes 20 people get gunned down

Not only that, but K-1 and Pride show blood freely-- real cuts, not blading jobs -- while in the WWE it turns to black and white any time a wrestler wears a crimson mask.
