If these products are new, why such a discount? |

Well, Spliff, this is the first time I've seen someone wonder why prices are so low on Dave's. I tried to decide what was reasonable to ask based on danawa, as well as comparing to what prices are at home. You can find the GTX for 450,000 used, and X6800 for 600,000 used, so I figure if I want to sell, I should be realistic. New is better than used, but often people just look at price. This forum is a buyer's market, and honestly, I thought people on Dave's would still think prices are too high based on other things for sale. What would be your price for these items? Cause if you want to pay more, I'll negotiate the price up:) |

Why did you pay a much higher price for the items and now selling for a loss. Why did you buy them in the first place and now no longer have a need of them? |

Maybe the guy just put a low price on it so that he wouldn't get random flamers saying "Your prices are too expensive" or "XXX,XXX for a 8800GTX?? Is this a joke?"
If I wanted to unload something and I didn't want to bother with haggling over prices, I'd sell it pretty cheap.
If I were the buyer, I'd make sure the products weren't DOA. If its new and it works great then thats what I call "Getting hooked up." |

Spliff, I understand why you ask those questions, and I am happy to explain to people who contact me and actually wish to buy these items. I don't see a need to put my plans, motivations, financial situation, etc on a forum. Basically, I was starting to build an amazing computer for my first time, but plans changed I need to divert my money if possible. pkang0202 expressed some of my sentiments nicely.
Like he said, of course any buyer can make sure the products are not DOA. That is just reasonable. I'm not playing games, just trying to sell these items. Spliff, if you think it is strange or unsatisfactory that I don't explain my personal details on a public forum where I know nobody, not much I can do about that.
However, this has showed me that perhaps I don't need to have the prices so low. Can't change them here, that would be unfair, but I'll try other sites for selling them as well. Like I said, I was just trying to be realistic, but I guess it is better to have people haggle the price down rather than wonder why it is low. Or maybe put no price at all. Can't really win. |

I'm sure you won't have a problem selling factory sealed boxes of the above mentioned products here...surprised if they don't sell like hotcakes at those prices.... If I was building a rig right now I sure would be interested! |
