I posted this question in a poll on my blog, but I think it makes a good topic for this board, despite the fact it's probably been asked several times before.

Its kind of funny though.
I have been here 7 years and married to a korean. I drive everyday work the streets etc.. I know the stress factor and the STUPID S H I T that goes on here everyday. makes me crazy!!! this country is whacked YES.BUT!
over the 7 years I have met Americans and Canadians and growing up in New Zealand I never met an American or Canadian maybe in passing and if I did it was a big deal to me.. WOW American COOL.. etc...

but after coming here I met Americans and I asked them!
So when do you plan on going back to the STATES?
70% of them said. NEVER if I can help it!!
I'm like WHAT>?>???
you come from the best country in the world and you want to live outside of it???

YEAH because to the outside world it looks like the best country but inside its not!
do you Americans agree.. or Canadians Ausies even kiwis..
NOT to SAY HATE! ~ but are we sick of our countries?
The world is messed up. yes greed, power and manipulation seems to be the norm.. governments using us as Ants.. making us pay for every free resouce from the planet at high PRICES too.. governments taking all the money for their own familes, military killing people.. governments manipulating the system so the rich benefit more and the lower/middle class are the ones who suffer.. toll fees, water tax, power, ridiculous phone bills, call home for 30 minutes to talk to a love one cost 40 bucks!!! YEAH RIGHT..
I can go on for days.. we stand aside and watch people starve.. what do we do.. we make a documentary and win an Academy award.. thats how we care..
rogue leaders who dont give a shit about their people only his own well being..
yes the world is whacked.. yes Korea is whacked.. YES NEW ZEALAND has problems and disputes which havent been solved for years..
whats happening to our world.. history shows its always been this way..
but why dont we try to change it NOW??
ooopps I have gone off course..

stick to the first question Laughing Cool

Are we sick of our countries?
most foreigners I have met have no plans on returning home..
so what gives..

Dude, construction all over the world begins at sunup! Thats why we went to university mate, so we don't have to get up at 5am to lay bricks or lug wood beams around in the pouring rain.
