Can anyone suggest books to read , magazines, or web-sites on the subject to visit?

Thanks,

I can't think of any "serious" books I'd recommend. However, I can recommend a lot of trifling and trivial books.

Sorry. Just couldn't pass it up.

Do you mean that you want to know which books in which to invest in order to make money? Or, do you want to collect books that you enjoy reading? What do you mean by book "collector"?

I would like to personally communicate with OP who have bought and sold books with investment in mind. Since there are a lot of well read and educated people that do pop up on Dave's from time to time I though I would ask. I like to read about first hand experiences, and since I have followed quite a few posters constructive and intellegent comments over the years, I am hoping for some good feedback.

Best,

K

To be pedantic, that's not what you said in your OP. Hence my response.

www.abebooks.com

They have a rare book "room."

I got a first print edition of Lafcadio Hearn's "Two Years in the French West Indies." through them (1889). Beautiful book!

I think there is also a magazine called biblio devoted to book collecting.
