The hagwon buses with the banners so far seem to be as follows: Little America, Little Fox, and Yang-G ELS.

I personally know the wanjang nims from Little America and Yang-G ELS. They are notorious for breaking contracts, treating the staff like slaves, and thinking they are above the law. They both have a LONG and WICKED history in Deajeon's hagwon scene

The Yang-G owner is the president of the Daejeon hogwon association. Had an interview there once. You have to be there from 12-9:30pm. He wants complete and utter control over all his teachers.

Well I read the OP before heading off to work today. Bad idea...I'm not impressed. It reminds me of 1984.

For pics, upload them to a host e.g

I have a pic of the Korean banner on the bus. I'm gonna get a pic of the English one, then I will post them all before mid afternoon.

Wouldn't be racist in the slightest.

Now if you had said Asian then you might have a case. Cool

Just saw one of those buses with the banners on it. It makes them look so Third Rightish(reichtish?). Wonder when they will hand out the arm bads.
A bunch of rich punks are getting angry because they are trying to market a language , that is not their own, and they aren't doing a very good job of it. If their fastfood style academies were up to par, Koreans would need to hire private teachers.
Foreigners aren't the only ones evading taxes from privates. Embarassed

Foreign Teachers and Professors Be Warned

you are being watched

Private tutoring of English is a Legal Offense!

Tresspassers are prosecuted, Blacklisted, and Deported.

Korean offenders are fined and legally prosecuted.

Informant Reward $500 from DFA ( Daejeon Foriegn Language School association) ...."

I have an idea in response to Korean stupidity:

Koreans be warned and be aware.

You are being watched by Foreign Teachers.

Forking other women or men is illegal when you're married.

Violators will be turned over to their respective wives or husbands and castrated.

Informants will be rewarded by their respective wives or husbands.

Will have my phone number.

Anyone know if these hogwons have anyone working without a proper visa?

Maybe you guys in Daejeon should make your own banner.

Notice it's the hogwon association offering the reward.

I like this counterattack banner idea. Maybe something like "Report unfair hagwon practices" with a list of violations hagwon owners break often like pension plans, income taxes, and breach of contract and have the labor and pension inspector's department numbers listed on the bottom.

I don't think the reporting of the teaching without a visa is good, lets not hurt other in our shoes. Best bet is to give a heads up to the teachers before you report the schools. I would like to see the schools go down hard. But save the whities.

Immigration don't need a reason to kick you out of the country. That's where the risk is.

I don't frown upon people teaching privates, but I just think they're annoying. Don't believe the hype.

HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA Laughing Laughing Laughing

First of all, the sign is written poorly (being watched, not watched, illegal - legal...etc.). Second of all, I just called them to let them know about their poor English. Everyone here should call Charles. HAHAHHAHAHA. That guy started yelling at me in English asking me if I was an illegal teacher and that he was going to get me. lol. Laughing Laughing Laughing
