FSD
Research suggests that sexual dysfunction is very common with 43% of women and 31% of men reporting some degree of difficulty. Sexual dysfunction is a topic that many people are hesitant to discuss and may feel embarrassed. Fortunately, most cases of sexual dysfunction are treatable.
Female sexual dysfunction (FSD) in women is a complex problem that can have many different causes. Both physical and psychological factors can play a part in female sexual dysfunction.
The common symptoms for female sexual dysfunction can include a lack of sexual desire, an inability to enjoy sex, insufficient vaginal lubrication and even when sexually aroused, failing to achieve an orgasm.
Female sexual dysfunction can affect women of all ages at any time, but may become more prevalent during hormonally vulnerable times, such as the menopausal transition or the postpartum. Female sexual dysfunction can also occur with major illnesses (such as cancer).
You could be suffering from Female Sexual Dysfunction if you experience one or more of the following and you experience personal distress because of it:
You can't maintain arousal during sexual activity or you don't become aroused despite a desire to have sex
You cannot achieve an orgasm
You have pain during sexual contact
Female Sexual Dysfunction can also be linked to psychological causes. These can include:
Inadequate or ineffective foreplay
Depression
Poor self-esteem
Sexual abuse or incest
Feelings of shame or guilt about sex
Fear of pregnancy
Stress and fatigue
Orgasm problems
Several factors may contribute to sexual dissatisfaction or dysfunction. These factors tend to be interrelated. Women with sexual concerns benefit from a combined treatment approach that addresses medical as well as emotional issues. |

| Didn't read all the thread but I think it's clear that america contains two strong and conflicting impulses in regard to sexuality. It is at once both repressed and hyper-sexual. |
