That's well and delightful but like I've said many times if the man was questioned 5 different times and found not be a threat 5 different times and was told that his file would be updated and it wasn't, that shows that the border patrol doesn't have its act together. This is why I brought up the article in which the border patrol agent was told with CLEAR instructions on a computer what to do with the man with a dangerous version of TB and he DOESN'T do it.
Here are the instructions:
| Quote: |
| The inspector ran Speaker's passport through a computer, and a warning including instructions to hold the traveler, don a protective mask in dealing with him, and telephone health authorities popped up, officials said. About a minute later, Speaker was instead cleared to continue on his journey, according to officials familiar with the records. |
So these guys are supposed to protect the U.S. border and fail to follow clear orders....My faith in border security has been rejuvenated
And you know as well as I do that if the man with TB was instead a terrorist and was let through, you would be pissed off and spouting off left right and center about it.... |

Actually, I agree with you.
I don't believe that border police should be looking for drugs and other contraband, or trying to prevent people from seeking legal work and the like. But I do believe, firmly, that border police are there to protect those people already inside of the border. Searching for infectious diseases (Oz said today you may not migrate there with hiv or TB, which is so obvious a policy that it must have been ignored by mulitcult types) and watching out for criminals should be their only job.
Government must focus carefully her resources. |
