I am from PA and I'm never going back to cold, snowy winters for the entire season. I miss my family and the islands but not the states, and especially not Pennsyltucky.
Where do you teach? Location is very important here in Korea. Cant complain too much about Busan anymore, especially with the weather warming up. |

I'm from Cleveland. Cleveland proper is smaller than Columbus, but Cuyahoga County is still the biggest county in Ohio -- much larger than Franklin County. Columbus covers vertually all of Franklin County making its corporate limit much larger than Cleveland. There are far more people living in the suburbs of Cleveland than in Cleveland itself, unlike Columbus. Cleveland is around the 15th largest metropolitan area in the U.S. Columbus is much lower.
Cleveland is great but there is more to life than Ohio. I like being able to live in Asia and Ohio.
Go Bucks! OSU makes Columbus one fun city though! Not so sure about the state legislature though. |

I'm from Cincinnati, but don't miss it at all. It's a hotbed of racism with a rapidly shrinking middle class. The only good areas are to the northeast and perhaps a few pockets on the far west side. Quite a few old established neighborhoods near downtown are in decline, not to mention the sorry state of the inner city itself.
I also lived in Columbus for a few years and liked it much more. I spent a few years in Wilmington as well, but felt it was too isolated.
My brother and I are in the process of buying a home on Indian Lake in Logan county, northwest of Columbus. It's probably my favorite place in the state, and I hope to retire there some day. |

grew up in Dayton (Centerville) and went to UD but a huge OSU football fan (we are Div III).
Moved to Austin though in the mid 80's and have only been there like 4 times since 1986.
Sister lives in Columbus and my other sister graduated from OSU.
Nice area Central and SW Ohio, miss Milanos and Marions Pizza.
Anybody see the CSI: Miami last season where they were able to id the vics because they had Cincy chili in their stomach? |

I'm grew up in the country about thirty minutes northwest of Dayton. I went to BGSU. It wasn't the job market that brought me to Korea, because I had a decent job, but I was bored. I'm heading back next month for a vacation before I head to Michigan for grad school. I don't know if Ohio will ever be my permanent home again because I associate Ohio with boredom. I miss my family but I don't miss Ohio. |
