Well they weren't dancing per se but still,

eight-day ritual of fasting, meditation and purification.

the guy lost conciousness. Instead of maybe taking this guy to a hospital, they did the above ceremony. He died shortly after he got to the hospital(several hours later). The alarm wasn't raised until 6 hours after he blacked out. How can you sit around chanting when a guy is out for that long..

Sometimes I hear these things and forget it is 2007. Its been a tough week. My co workers told me that pricking your fingers to draw out 'black blood' helps a heavy stomach. There has been a fan death in the news. Why do people believe this crap? I'll never know. I feel sad that this guy never got a chance to wise up.

Idiots.

There seem to be more and more esoteric cult-ish types who are rejecting science in a vain attempt to inject a little meaning into their lives.

A serious Darwin award winner. "Say, I know how to regain health. I'll go out to a desert and not drink any water and trust my safety to a bunch of nuts who will think I'm astral projecting..."

That and some people want to be sheep...and it turns out the bigger the BS you shove in their face, the more palatable it is to them.
