Well, it looks like I've been offered the POSCO gig that was advertised here back in August. I haven't accepted yet, but we're on to the stage of detailed negotiations now. Chaebolery ahoy!
It's teaching adults mixed with proofreading and curriculum dev, which is what I wanted, and down in Gwangyang, which gives access to some beautiful coastal territory, so that's good for a nature boy like BTM (although I'm sure Gwangyang itself is a kinda polluted).
Hooray for me!
Now the questions : Anyone live (or lived) in Gwangyang or anywhere in Southern Chollanam-do? Anyone work (or worked) for POSCO? Any gotchas to watch out for, if so?
I found a thread in the archives that indicated (despite some naysaying from Anda) that POSCO in Pohang was a great gig, and this lines up with what I've heard, but I wonder if anyone has any current info.

Thanks KCK. Got a PM with some great info, and everything sounds pretty sweet. I'm gonna miss this apartment we just rented, though...
Which reminds me - I'll be posting an apartment ad in the Buy/Sell forum soon, if I end up signing the contract, if anyone's looking. |
