I was told about a month ago that the Hard Rock Cafe is being relocated next to the Hamilton Hotel. Does anyone know when it is due to start serving food?

I would wait until it's built first!

I have heard anything about a Hard Rock Cafe. Doesn't Seoul already have one?

The one in Seoul has been closed for several months now, tho the merchandise store has been open, I think. As others have said, and I've seen, the old Limelight Building in Hamilton Hotel's parking lot is encased with HRC banners, as it will soon be the new location. MUCH BETTER, in my opinion, and hopefully will attract a rauchier, all around better clientele than the former Apkujung location- with its upscale 99% poseur Korean crowd.
HRC ofter changes locations within a city. San Francisco, Hong Kong and Boston come to mind.
If anyone knows when the Itaewon grand opening will be, please let me know. Thanks!!

LITTLE KNOWN FACT: Did you know that HRC has more locations in Japan than both Canada and England? Tied for second with Mexico with 8 branches each. Of course, America has the most.

Yes, it's my favorite restaurant to eat at and it's found in many places around the world. I used lived within walking distance of one during college in St. Louis, MO and that place had very little traffic compared to Seoul. It appears the problem with Seouls HRC is location, location, location, with tourism be more diffused rather than being concentrated like with many desitations. I guess they decided that Itaewon would be more appropriate with it being touristy place where many foreigners walk around and shop.

Hard Rock Cafe is rubbish. Overpriced slop for food, cheesy decor reminiscent of TGI Fridays, apathetic servers and drinks that look like they were measured with a thimble. Went to the ones in Bangkok and Fukuoka and they were both the same.

Rubbish.
