There have been to many topics posted on CDI. Is it possible to have a sticky for CDI, lock some of the said CDI threads, or is that out of the question?

Most are not redundant. Why does this bother you? Can't you scroll down and just not read them?

They don't "bother me" but what what I'm trying to point out is that newbies should use the search function. If you do a search on CDI you come up with 277 matches. Is it really that hard for newbies to use the search function?

In a perfect world that would be the case.

Not everyone who arrives here is completely familiar with typical message board functions however.

Having a thread amalgamation function would be nice.

I use the search function and end up with a blank screen....maybe others have the exact same problem...

If someone could give me some search function tips, I'd love it. The search function on this site is the worst I've ever used. It either gets me NOTHING or EVERY THREAD THAT EVER EXISTED.

To be honest, the search function on this site is quite useless. If you want to get real search results, use google with the "site:" function... for example, "Fan Death site:http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea"
