Anyone ever worked for YES Youngdo?? Good experience? Good management? Any info on this chain would be appreciated, we are hoping for a position in Busan..

Ditto to everything said above. It's not a bad place for a newbie if you're willing to work hard for a year and you are serious about teaching. I worked as a "senior teacher" at Yes and was very impressed with the learning environment and the progress the students made in their English (compared to most hogwans). Communication between management and teachers is generally sub-par, and don't expect that they will listen to ANY suggestions you have to improve the school. With all that said, it's a burnout job. Most teachers are exhausted 10 months in, and this is if you DON'T do the overtime during the vacation periods, which is ridiculously brutal. The upside is it does look better than many places on a resume, you never have to worry about pay, and they actually follow all the laws concerning pension, etc. If you're someone who wants to work with a bunch of other westerners, it's part of the package at Youngdo.

If you are looking to come to Korea for a few years, this is a decent one-year stepping stone. If you're here for just a one-year jaunt, there are many other jobs that are considerably easier for the same pay and you will have the energy to enjoy your time here. If you are a brave, independent soul, go for a public school job. It's WAY better. Better vacations, random days off nearly every month, more respect from Koreans... You will probably be the only foreigner at your school, but it's not hard to meet other westerners outside of work.

thanks all for the input. This will be my second year in Korea ,and, with a glowing reference from my first hagwon, I want a worthy school, not another year of overtime overkill.
