Hello to you all,
I've been corresponding with a guy called Henry Son about possible employment in his summer camp. The deal sounds pretty spotless: 2.8 mil - 3 weeks and 4.2 mil - 6 weeks.
Having failed miserably in my search I was wondering if there's any soul out there who has heard of this set up at all, and what your experiences were? Secondly, I hear that S/K can really hit 'campers' in the pocket through tax deductions - is there any truth in this?
Here's wishing you all a good summer.
Many thanks |

| Are you sure Henry Son is not a recruiter? I worked at Camp Eng-Land and the owner is a women. They will pay you. They taxed us 3.5% as was stated in our contract. When I was there it was a very poorly organized operation, but you do save most of your salary because you are in the middle of nowhere. |

Thanks for this, it's good to know they're on the level.
I assumed that 'Henry' ran the camp and was given no reason to think otherwise - damn those assumptions!
I've cast an eye over the schedule and it seems that there's a real emphasis on performance art and theatre. I'm trying to get an idea of how much dignity I should stow away for safe keeping - I enjoy clowning around as much as the next man, but it would be good to actually get down to teaching eventually.
So how did you find it in general? I'll be traveling from the UK so I'd like to get a feel for the place before I decide to jump. Any thoughts/ impressions at all would be a great help. |
