I am intending to teach English in Korea, but am unsure as to which city to go to.
I am an actor by training, and degree, and am looking for a city which fosters a great deal of visual/performing/musical art and artists.
From my research it seems that Seoul is the only city that has a vibrant art culture. However, Seoul seems too crowded for my tastes, as I am more inclined to a city like Vancouver, Canada (If anyone is familiar with that city).
Any feedback and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sean |

What are your intentions as far as an Artist's community. Do you want to see shows or act in show?
I don't believe that on an E2 visa, you would be allowed to participate in theatrical events. That is not to say that it doesn't happen. But there is a risk. And Seoul would be the place to go. You might be able to catch some theatre in other cities, but odds of it being in English are rather poor. |

In any case, the only place in the country you'll find any of that is Hongdae. |

See, act in, just be near the pulse of, kind of thing.
Yeah, Seoul seems to be the only place. Thanks for the help. |
